Breakout
The action by a stock when it surpasses its Pivot. The Pivot corresponds to an area of resistance where the stock previously encountered selling. When a stock charges through this area on a chart, it can be a sign that the stock is poised to move higher. We like to see volume at least 40% to 50% above normal on the Breakout day.
